Q: We have an offshore FPSO project requiring level gauges used on high-integrity process shutdown applications (SIL 3), in accordance with IEC 61508. Can you advise if Phoenix have such certification for level gauges? 

A: until now we have made no certifications SIL3 acc. to IEC 61508.  We are able to give a declaration of conformity up to SIL2 acc. to IEC 61508 by ourselves for our level instruments. All Ex-relevant level instruments and those underlying the PED of course have been validated in a failure analysis.

 

Q: Sind PHÖNIX Magnetanzeiger Typ 710 auch in Ex-Bereichen mit der Klassifikation nach NEC 500 (Class / Division) oder NEC 505 (Class / Zone) einsetzbar?

A: Ja. Unsere Magnetanzeiger Typ 710 sind Nicht-Elektrische Geräte, für die in den amerikanischen Systemen nach NEC 500 (Class / Division) oder NEC 505 (Class / Zone) keine Ex-Zulassung vorgesehen ist.
Entsprechend unserem Sicherheits-Werkstandard sind die Geräte mit entsprechenden Explosionsschutzmassnahmen nach der Europäischen Richtlinie ATEX 94/4/EG versehen.
